Jacksonville: 22 small schools documented — Microschools (6), Learning Centers (5), Forest & Nature Schools (2) and more below. The transparency numbers first, because they are the point of this site: 11 of 22 schools here publish tuition (50%), 0 record at least one funding or ESA program with a named source, and 9 publish days per week.
Every fact on a listing names its source and check date, and every gap is shown as a gap — "Tuition not published" means the school does not publish it, not that it is free or expensive. Schools claim their listing free to complete their decision data. The region breaks down by area: Jacksonville (11), Orange Park (4), Jacksonville Beach (2), Fernandina Beach (1).

Only 11 of the 22 schools documented here publish tuition at all — published figures include KEYS Education Resource Center ($8,000 tuition split over 10 months); Wild Oak Explorers (Forest school ages 4-8: $400/month; forest school ages 7-12: $200/month (priced per month)). The rest do not publish it anywhere we could source, which is why their listings carry the admissions-page link and the exact questions to ask. Published tuition is the exception in this market, not the rule.
Which funding programs do Jacksonville schools report accepting?
From the schools' own published pages: Step Up for Students - direct-pay provider (program not specified) (6 schools), Florida Tax Credit Scholarship (FTC) / AAA Scholarship (3 schools), Step Up for Students - FES-UA (Unique Abilities) (2 schools). Each listing's funding row names its source — a state program list or the school's own statement — because "ESA accepted" claims in ads are easy to make and hard to verify.
How many Jacksonville schools publish their days per week?
9 of 22. Days per week decides whether a small school fits a family's work schedule — a four-day hybrid and a five-day microschool are different products at similar prices — so we record it as a first-class field and show it as a gap where a school does not publish it.
Why do so many listings say "Tuition not published"?
Because most small schools genuinely do not publish tuition — they quote it in conversation. We tested this before building the site and found it everywhere, so the model here is claim-first: listings launch with honest gap states and the phone and admissions links, and schools complete their own decision data free. A gap on this site is a sourced finding, not missing research.
How these pages are built
How a school gets on this page: from a public-record source (NCES, a state list, a program provider list, or a network locator) or the school’s own published pages. Trust states describe how the facts were confirmed; they are not a quality judgement, and schools are never ordered by quality.
